This site came to be when I realized I was slipping back down a path that I’d been on before.  I had $16.20 in my bank account and nothing else.  I didn’t have a credit card or credit for that matter and I was finding that I was going online to buy domain names to build websites in an attempt to make some money online.  It’s not a pretty picture and I think I’ve caught myself in time that it doesn’t happen….again.

I live in Canada, I work at a good job that isn’t minimum wage and I have health benefits (huzzah!).  I have one child and I live with my boyfriend and I’m quickly heading towards 40 and I have to admit that I’m not in the best of financial shape.  I’ve been divorced and in the process gave up my house and due to what transpired during the divorce I had to declare bankruptcy.  So I can proudly say that I did my time in bankruptcy and was released in September 2010.

Since being in bankruptcy you have to live in a budget, you have no backup at all and that’s scary after being able to have a line of credit and a credit card.  I have managed to “survive” (and you’d be surprised that we don’t need all that credit) by not having either of those to help me out.  I’ve had to go paycheque to paycheque and you know what… I’m tired of it.   I”m looking to start working towards saving my money to get to a point where I have a cushion and I’d also like to save a bit for my daughter’s education and I’d also like to get ambitious and say I’d like to save for a holiday – to actually go somewhere – on a plane!

So I do have goals, I’m just trying to figure out how to achieve them and this is how Ravenfeeder.com has evolved.
